Harbor Springs Farmers Market

Harbor Springs offers their Harbor Springs Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm at 157 State St. in Downtown Harbor Springs. The market has about a dozen vendors who offer everything from eggs to greens, meats to pastas and more.

Harbor Springs Carriage Rides

Location: Downtown Harbor Springs

Hop on board a Harbor Springs new Carriage Ride every weekend. Each Friday and Sunday, residents and visitors can take tour Harbor Springs by horse and carriage with this new, free of charge service. The idea for the free carriage rides came from BreknRidge Farms owner Karin Offield and is supported by downtown businesses. The carriage loads every 30 minutes near the Pier, New York, and Bar Harbor and also makes stops near Island Bean Coffee Company, Wooly Bugger, American Spoon Foods and Spice Harbor. Three tours are available: historical, waterfront, and downtown.

Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra - "Places in Time"

Location: First Presbyterian Church - Harbor Springs

The Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra, continuing the "Places in Time" theme, will present a "Colombian Classical Concert" on March 11, 4:00 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Harbor Springs. Featured soloist, Guillermo Marin, performs Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and a traditional Colombian work titled "The Traveler." Haydn's final orchestral work, Symphony # 104 "London," will complete the program. Both of the works by Haydn and Mozart represent fulfillment of their remarkable careers, and the pinnacle of the classical era.

Clarinetist Guillermo Marin has performed internationally and been recognized as the outstanding South American clarinetist by the Clarinet Association of South America. He has toured Europe and the Americas since his days with the Colombian Youth Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Americas.

Tickets are available online at Treatickets.com; Chambers of Commerce in Boyne City, Charlevoix, East Jordan, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs. Local book stores including Round Lake Books, Between the Covers, McLean & Eakin, and Local Flavor, also have tickets for sale. Tickets will be available at the door. Students 18 and under, and active duty military personnel are admitted without charge and are encouraged to hear the outstanding clarinetist.

Ladies Night Out

Enjoy a night of Fun - Fashion - Food and Fitness...at the 2nd annual Ladies Night Out at Art Van Furniture. This event will benefit the Northern Michigan Regional Foundation's Pediatric Patient Assistance Program. The ladies only event will provide hair, massage, brow, sculpting, nail and make-up treatments, dance lessons, exercise and more. Guests must be 21 and over to attend. Each guest will receive a good bag along with a map and schedule of events.
