Harbor Springs offers their Harbor Springs Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm at 157 State St. in Downtown Harbor Springs. The market has about a dozen vendors who offer everything from eggs to greens, meats to pastas and more.

Harbor Springs Youth Film Festival

The Harbor Springs Sk8 Park and The Harbor Springs Library Present -
The Harbor Springs Youth Film Festival


The Harbor Springs Sk8 and the Harbor Springs Library invite aspiring young directors, producers, animators, actors, and actresses to create their own films. Film festival participants will need to write, direct, star in (or cast actors to star in), and edit their own films. Film editing help will be available to those who need or want assistance.


The purpose of the Youth Film Festival is to showcase the talents of young people living in our community. The Youth Film Festival will include a Community Film Screening with the option for viewers to vote for their favorite films and a festival awards night similar to the popular Hollywood award shows.

• No late submissions will be accepted.
• Films can be a maximum of 5 minutes in length.
• Films must be submitted in an MP4 format.
• No more than one group and one individual entry per person.
• The oldest member of a group will dictate the age category in which the film will be entered.
• Films may not contain nudity, sex, violence, bullying, or drug use/ references.
• Films may not contain inappropriate music, language or gestures.
• A completed registration must accompany each film. Forms can be found online at www.harborspringslibrary.org and in person at the Harbor Springs Library, City Hall, Sk8 Park, and School Offices.

Youth Film Festival Awards Night
Members of the community will be voting for their favorite films at the Film Screen Night on Saturday, April 28 at the Harbor Springs Library.

Award categories include:
Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Music, Best Editing
A Youth Film Festival Awards Night will be held on Saturday, May 5 at the Harbor Springs Library.
The award night will resemble a Hollywood Awards Night. Participants are encouraged to “dress to impress”.

Easter Egg Hunts / Activities

Easter Hayrides - at Pon Hill Farm will be on Saturday, April 7, from 12 to 3 pm. Bring out the entire family for a relazing and fun hayride around the farm. Ride includes a stop at the Trout Pont to feed the fish. Cost is $4 per person and children 2 years of age and under are free. For more information visit www.pondhillfarm.com or call 231.526.3276.

Fill your basket, with an Easter Egg Hunt to follow Easter Sunday church on April 8,  at the Petoskey United Methodist Church. Service Begins at 10am and the hunt begins at 11am. PUMC is located at 1804 Mitchell St., Petoskey. Visit www.petoskeyumc.org for more information.

Petoskey Wal-Mart - will host an Easter celebration on Saturday, April 7, from 10am to 3pm. An egg hunt will be held in the garden center begining at 10am for children up to 4 years of age. Another hung will begin at 11 am for children 5 years of age and older. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available with all proceeds going to the Children's Miracle Network.
