BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brother Big Sisters’ largest and most well known annual fundraiser. Hundreds of caring community members across our 5 county service area rally together to raise pledges to support their LOCAL Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs.

With their help, we raise over 25% of our agency’s revenue for the year. Then, at the culmination of the campaign, everyone joins in across three bowling alleys to "Bowl for Kids’ Sake," share in fun, food, and celebrate a job well done!

The federal or state governments do not fund big Brothers Big Sisters programs. Generous individuals, businesses and foundations in our communities fund our programs and we are grateful. With that said, our agency board, staff, volunteers and the families we serve are thankful for community support and we invite everyone to rally together for Bowl for Kids’ Sake 2012.

Thank you for your support and involvement!

Northern Michigan Society for Human Resource Management hosts a Steve Rudolph Presentation: Emotional Intelligence for Great Customer Service.
May 18, 9-12:30 at NCMC.  If your business relies heavily on customer service, this presentation is one you cannot afford to miss! This EQ workshop will explore how HR professionals and managers can use Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in their employee selection, orientation, and training programs to enhance the quality of their customer service. Outstanding individual customer service is almost always the result of EQ leaders who has fostered a positive, engaged, and customer-centric culture.  Participants can expect to receive a brief pre-reading article, an exploratory question or two, and a brief EQ assessment. This workshop will be highly interactive, experiential, and fast paced. You won’t need a helmet or seat belt but an open-mind and sense of humor will help!
