Using current research into the social nature of the brain, this workshop will provide insights into how administrators, teachers, and other educational specialists can create more engaging and productive learning environments. Apparently, an overarching organizing principle of the brain is to “minimize threat and maximize reward.” We’ll examine how specific behaviors and organizational practices can help foster an engaging learning environment. Demystifying Marketing Workshop: A Marketing Primer for Nonprofit Organizations

Charlevoix County Community Foundation and Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation are again partnering to provide this capacity building training area nonprofit organizations. Participants will gain an understanding of why marketing is important for nonprofit organizations; common makreing terms and concepts and how they apply to nonprofits; learn how to develop a marketing plan using a template tailored to nonprofits; how social media fits into a marketing plan and how to begin using social media tools; and cost effective approaches to executing a marketing program.
