Healthy Alternatives Anniversary Celebration Week – June 25-30. Several local massage therapists will be present. A variety of local artists that produce Healthy Alternatives products will be on-hand, such as Herbal Lodge and Made in Mackinac.
A makeup artist will help local ladies understand the beauty of mineral make-up. Lots of samples, too! All of the staff members will be on hand to assist with questions.
There will be great book sales as well as EVERYTHING in the store will be 15% off the entire week (except for those already on sale). This is a special gift from Wade to say “Thank You” for the support the past 15 years. Now is the time to come in and try something new and HEALTHY!

Bear River Paddling Poker Run

The Bear River Paddling Poker Run is an on the water poker-style game that supports Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council. You provide the paddle craft of your choice. For your donation of $25.00, you will receive a Poker Paddle Card. Additional Poker Paddle Cards may be purchased for $25.00 each. Register by June 15 and receive a free commemorative t-shirt. You will draw a playing card at the starting line, at each of the five stops along the river, and at the finish line. Your Poker Paddle Card will be punched at each location indicating the playing card drawn. Upon finishing the route you determine the best 5 card combination that you can make from your hand. CASH PRIZES will be awarded to the top three poker hands. The prize amounts are based on the number of Poker Paddle Cards sold. The more participants, the higher the cash prizes, so be sure to invite your family and friends for this unique event. Crop Hunger Walk 2012

The Manna Food Project Church World Service will benefit from funds raised from the walk.
