Master Naturalist Program

The Master Naturalist program will again be offered by the Emmet Conservation District. The program consists of seven classes held once a month, beginning in April. Each class consists of a one hour presentation followed by a field experience. On April 14th the classes will begin with an Introduction to Hawk Watching and the spring hawk migration. The May 5th class will be an Introduction to Conservation History, Theory and Practice, followed by Wetlands Ecology on June 23rd. On July 21st the class heads up to Sturgeon Bay for Dune Ecology and Invasive Species will be discussed August 18th. September 8th we will tackle All About Fish 101 when the class meets at the DNR Oden Fish Hatchery finish the program with a beautiful walk through the fall woods on October 6th learning about our Native Trees and Shrubs.
The Conservation District is also in the process of planning several other one day workshops.
