A Little Night Music is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. Inspired by the Ingmar Bergman film Smiles of a Summer Nigh, it involves the romantic lives of several couples. Its title is a literal English granslation of the german name for Motzart's Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. The musical includes the popular song "Send in the Clowns".

Getting Kids Outdoors in Emmet County invites families to the annual GKO Spring Celebration to Kick-Off our new Passport to Adventure.
Join the fun at Pond Hill Farm to celebrate the new 2012 Passport to Adventure and welcome the season! This outdoor event is FREE and requires no registration. Activities will include:
· Outdoor Activities
· Barn Animals
· Sack Races
· Hay Rides
· Music by Blissfest (possibly square dancing, but no confirmation just yet!)
· GKO & Passport Partners (Local Resources/Vendors that promote getting kids outdoors (in general)– not sure of best way to word this & get the point across, they will provide information on their organization as well as some hands-on things to do)
· Pond Dipping
· Finger Food/Light Snacks
Meet local resource providers and learn more about great places in Emmet County to explore this year! The Passport to Adventure offers children and their families opportunities to partake in various outdoor adventures throughout the county, and other nearby destinations.

The Outfitter of Harbor Springs hosts a Women in the Wild hike at Wilderness State Park on Saturday, April 28 from 9:00am-1:00pm. A good-paced hike to explore Waugshance Point and the inland trails of our local gem! Open to women of all ages who want to get outdoors, explore and gain skills together. Fruit Tree Workshop

You can increase your property value and provide fresh chemical free fruit for your family by simply planting fruit trees. If you’re like many other people who have decided to dedicate part of your garden beds to vegetable growing, due to concern about the quality of the produce you feed your children, you can learn to take it a step further and grow your own fruit.
Steve Fouch, retired horticulture educator for MSU Extension, will share his knowledge gained working with tree fruit grower around the state. Steve now manages his own tree health and nursery business and does horticulture consulting work. Together with Dick Barker, owner of Country Apple Orchards in Petoskey, Steve will provide information valuable to inexperienced and experienced fruit growers.
Topics covered with include selection of varieties for our area, site preparation and growing for quality, tips on planting and tree nutrition, proper training and care of young trees, pruning of older trees, protection from deer and other critters, insect and disease control. After covering these topics that will be presented in a handout, the class will venture out into the orchards to see firsthand how Dick prunes and cares for his trees.
It’s difficult to put a dollar value on fruit trees, but it will set your property apart from properties without them and could pique the interest of a potential buyer.
Steve Fouch will be offering several varieties of semi-dwarf fruit trees for sale at the conclusion of the workshop. The workshop will take place Saturday April 28th from 10am to Noon at the Country Apple Orchard 8785 Horton Bay Rd., just west of US31 in Petoskey. Cost for the workshop is $15 per person and the registration deadline is April 23rd.
